Storyteller Anne Penfound (Portland, OR), President of the Portland Storytellers Guild will host a countywide story swap open to tellers of all skill levels.

Designed for ages 10 to adult, the storytelling extravaganza features twelve storytelling performances throughout the week at the WCCLS member libraries, the Glenn & Viola Walters Cultural Art Center in Hillsboro and the North Plains Senior Center.

On the final day of the festival, April 18, Eth-Noh-Tec (Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo and Nancy Wang) presents the Tell It! Move It! Storytelling Workshop followed by the community-wide story swap hosted by the Portland Storytellers Guild. That evening, all three storytellers will wrap up the festival with a special Immigrant Experience Finale featuring personal tales from their families’ histories.

The festival is supported in part by grants from the Regional Arts and Culture Council and each of the local Friends of the Library representing WCCLS member libraries, with additional in-kind services provided by Community Newspapers Inc., Courtyard by Marriott, ProGraphics Services, Portland Chapter of the Japanese American Citizen’s League and Ad-Mark Promotional Products.
