MedlinePlus

Information on diseases and treatments from the National Institutes of Health. Includes lists of hospitals and physicians, a medical encyclopedia and dictionary, health information in Spanish, extensive information on prescription and nonprescription drugs, health information from the media, and links to clinical trials.

Micromedex

Provides pharmacist-level information on drugs, toxicology and drug interaction, and patient education on procedures, drugs, and lab tests in English and Spanish. Available for use in the library building only at Tuality Health Information Resource Center.

Nursing and Allied Health Collection

Answers to nursing or allied health questions in over 1,100 journals. Provides full-text coverage of many of the titles cited in CINAHL. Requires Washington County Library card.

Nursing Resource Center

For nursing students at community colleges, universities, and vocational or technical high schools. Requires Washington County Library card.

OVID

Provides citation and abstract information for Medline and CINAHL (Nursing and Allied Health) and articles in 240 full-text medical and nursing journals. Additionally, Nursing Books Online includes 22 full-text nursing books. Available for use in the library building only at Tuality Health Information Resource Center.

Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Collection

This collection includes over 100 titles covering the fields of physical therapy and sports medicine, providing researchers with access to topics discussed in the field, including proven treatment techniques, experimental research theses, and many more. Requires Washington County Library card.

Psychology Collection

This collection offers access to nearly 500 subject-appropriate full-text periodicals, many cited in the PsycINFO index, on such topics as the study of the mind, emotions, and how the human mind develops and diminishes over time. Requires Washington County Library card.

SIRS Researcher

Quick Start Guide

A general reference database containing thousands of full-text articles exploring social, scientific, health, historic, business, economic, political and global issues. Articles and graphics are selected from over 1,600 domestic and international publications and are indexed primarily according to Library of Congress-derived subject headings. A library of reports on common diseases and wellness issues. Each report is an in-depth discussion of the latest information on treatments, risk factors, causes, diagnostic tests, and preventative measures. Each report can be printed in HTML or PDF format.
