About Hillsboro Main Library
The Hillsboro Main Library first opened in May of 2007, moving from leased space in the Tanasbourne Village Mall. The current building was purchased by the City in 2005 using city funds, community fundraising and other sources. The library occupies the first floor, which is 38,000 square feet, double the size of the previous library at Tanasbourne. Over 300 parking spaces are directly adjacent to the building, which houses a quiet adult reading area with a fireplace, a children's area, a young adult area, a coffee court, and a public meeting room.
