About the Library
Community residents organized the Cedar Mill Community Library Association in 1974, and the first library opened in 1976 with help from WCCLS. Cedar Mill is one of two locations of the Cedar Mill and Bethany Community Libraries.
Each of the 16 WCCLS libraries are individually governed – by either a city, Washington County, or a nonprofit board. The Cedar Mill Library is a nonprofit library and raises funds for capital and building needs through its Second Edition Resale Shop.
