We want to celebrate you, our beloved patrons who make our work worthwhile. Every quarter, we'll select one lucky patron to be spotlighted on our blog as our featured bookworm. (Think of it as a fake magazine with you as the cover model and lead story.) If selected, we will interview you and arrange for a professional photographer to take your picture at your favorite Washington County library. Your Q&A, accompanied by your face on the cover of Bookworm magazine, will be published right here on this blog. Your story will also be shared with the world on social media and in our e-newsletter.
If you are interested in being featured, send an email to blog@wccls.org with the subject line "Bookworm." Tell us in 300 words or less why we should choose you. For instance, maybe you have an interesting story that took place in a library. Maybe you read more than anyone you know. You could tell us about your favorite book or author or library resource. Maybe you simply love the public library or it's always been your dream to appear on a fake magazine cover. The sky's the limit.
Patrons of all ages are welcome to send submissions. However, anyone under the age of 18 will require written permission from a parent or guardian in order to be featured. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. There is no hard deadline.
We promise to read every submission. Thank you for your patronage.
