The Library Foundation of Washington County (LFWC) awarded a grant in the amount of $9,500 to Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS).

The grant will support the Student Library Card program where we partner with local libraries and school districts to provide school-age students with a WCCLS library card. The program expands access to students who may not have previously been connected to a public library. Last fiscal year, we provided over 7,500 new student library cards at three school districts, Hillsboro, Beaverton, and Tigard-Tualatin. This program has been and continues to be successful, growing in numbers each year. The LFWC funds will be used to help market and promote the program, increasing awareness for families.

Thank you to the LFWC for their continued support! Be sure to visit their website for more information about the organization.
